On July 13-14, 2015 in Almaty there was held a training for “Stigma Index” survey interviewers.
The purpose of the event is to increase the level of competence of interviewers to collect information about the stigma and discrimination. During the training, participants got acquainted with the basic terms and concepts related to the stigmatization of PLWH, the content of the questionnaire, forms and agreements that is going to be used during the interviews. In addition, they improved skills of interviewing, defined mechanisms of coordination, timing and scope of work, the vision of the use of research results.
The survey will be conducted in the framework of the Central – Asian Association of People Living with HIV (CAA PLHIV), with the support of the Regional Support Group (RPG), UNAIDS and the USAID Health Policy Project (HPP) in the three Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
